Helms' Griswold is a dangerous, moronic maniac, and the filmmakers' disdain for him rubs off on the audience.. Raucous R-rated fun? You'd think, but the gags smack of desperation.. The excellent performances by the cast are also what raise this movie well above your ordinary action movie.. Respectably funny.. Absolutely one of the greatest, most cringe-worthy movies I've ever seen.. Whenever Daley and Goldstein have the opportunity to make any biting observations or mount sustained original gags...
